WHO IS MARIUS BARNARD?

Marius started his career in the hospitality industry in 1993. He worked in various up-market hotels and establishments in and around Africa, before heading two five-star hotels on the Garden Route. He coordinated a large number of corporate functions, events and up-market weddings. Marius obtained his national diploma in hotel management at the Witwatersrand Hotel School. His years of experience in the hospitality industry, also as General Manager of Tsala Treetop Lodge, honed his ability to adjust to a versatile and ever-changing wedding and function industry.


Marius's specialty is arranging weddings for brides, grooms and guests and functions for a wide array of occasions. While his market is primarily the Garden Route, his customers often are from abroad. An extensive database with a comprehensive list of the finest service providers ensures that experts are drawn into the process of turning a bride's dream day into a tangible reality. He succeeds in creating congruence between the style and personalities of his clients on the one hand, and of the service providers, on the other.

"I personally see to it that your wedding or function speaks of style and elegance, and that you enjoy a stress-free experience." Marius believes that the expectations of hosts and guests have to be exceeded by far. Each function should project the unique individuality of the bride or guest of honour. The overall theme of each event should be an extension of the character of the bride or of the company which is hosting the function.

Marius is always personally present to oversee the detailed arrangements of any event, and aims at perfection, harmony and an overall enjoyable experience for all guests. Originality and attention to the finest detail are important. Each function or wedding must capture the essence of an important event - and this should be apparent from the design right from the invitation, from the impact of the event and from the memories which the guests carry with them after the occasion.
